The BioSport bottle has an additive added to it during production. This makes the plastic hydrophillic (attracts water particles), rather than hydrophobic (repels waters). Water/moisture is essential in the break down of products, the result of this is that these bottles will biodegrade in an active land fill between 1-5 years!
